The Problem #1:

A user uploads an image when making his auction listing, however, the image file size is over your size limit that you defined within the admin control panel. Because the image is too large, the user is given an error message, and told to come back and edit his auction listing later. The problem with this, is that better than 80% of the auction users, are not savy enough to understand how to resize their own images, and better than 10% of those who are, will not edit their auction to attach an image. No image = No bids = User who most likely will not list again.

The Solution #1:

With the Resize/Watermark on Upload mod, if the size is over your specified file size, it will be instantly resized to a more managable file aspect ratio, which will then append itself to the auction, without the user ever encountering an error. Its simply business as usual. This is done instantly on upload.

The Problem #2:

Certain devious miscreants around the web have nothing better to do, other than steal another sites images.

The Solution #2:

Stamping your text onto the image. If someone is going to hotlink to an image on your site, at least you get the credit for the image, and receive free advertising with your text stamped onto the image itself. This is done instantly upon upload.

This modification will knock down both issues with a single stone. The installation of this modification is quite simple and would take a novice less than 5 minutes to install.
