View Full Version : [V6.03 HACK] Global Sellers Message Mod

THE REQUESTED FEATURE:

It would be very helpful if sellers could post a global message to buyers which would fit in neatly by the shipping and other cost info. This would be used differently than the description area that is specific to that one auction. It's used more like a message board but can be changed by each seller at will. This message area could cover auctions that were posted several days ago or in my case auctions that have been running for several weeks or months. Its a good way to keep your viewers informed and clear out items by using incentives.

THE SOLUTION:

The Binarywebs Global Message area for Seller - This modification will provide a user with the ability to add a 'Global Message' to his auction listings, both past, and present. This message can be turned on/off by the user at any time, and it can be changed at any time. When a message is entered, it will auto append to EVERY auction on file for the user. The user can create his message, and or turn it on/off, via the Selling area, located in the Prefilled auction Field area.

All I did was send him the money like he references in the ad through paypal and write a description of what it was I was paying for - I got it the next day. He also did not respond to all of me emails - but he did respond to some - I can only assume he gets a lot of emails. . . Don't really care though I got the mod I wanted :)

Hope this helps

Well, I sent Ray the $ over 2 weeks ago and no reponse and no product. So, I do not recomend just sending the money without talking to him first or buying through the site first. Ray has always been great about getting back to me. I am sure he is really busy, but I really needed this mod in time for Easter. :-(
