I feel a tag system would allow my members to be able to label their auctions a little better and users be able to search better for a specific type of item.

Example:

They are looking for a rifle, but they want to find a certain manf, caliber or make. It would be better.

I find it very frustrating that PHPProbid doesn't make it easier for people to search in second categories and such.

You can do that yourself, it's only a matter of adding sub-cats to the main ones...for example::

Main Cat = Rifles
Sub-cat = Webley
Webley sub-cat = .22, .188, etc.

or have I missed the point?
